Hi! I'm Kate Crouse, owner and founder of A Touch of Whimsi Weddings & Events. I'm a licensed, insured, and certified wedding planner, and I truly love what I do!
For me, wedding planning is about so much more than timelines and details. I love creating beautiful, romantic celebrations, bringing thoughtful designs to life, and making sure everything comes together seamlessly so my couples can be fully present and enjoy their wedding day.
My husband Charles, is also a part of A Touch of Whimsi. With many years of experience in management and leadership, he brings a calm, dependable presence to our weddings and often joins me on event days or leads alongside one of our coordinators. Together, we make a wonderful team, and I'm grateful to have him by my side.

How It All Began
My love for planning started in 2008, when my daughter Sarah, was born. What began with planning her birthday parties quickly became something I fell in love with - the creativity, the details, the anticipation, and most of all, the joy of creating meaningful moments for the people I love.
Before long, friends and family began asking me to help with their celebrations and events, What started as something I simply loved doing slowly grew into something much more.
And that's how A Touch of Whimsi was born.
A Love for the Moments That Matter
In 2021, my husband and I planned a small vow renewal surrounded by about 40 of our closest family members and friends. It was simple, personal, and incredibly meaningful - and it reminded me why I love weddings so much.
Because whether a celebration is grand or intimate, elaborate or simple, it's the moments that stay with us.
The way you looked at each other walking down the aisle. The people who traveled to be there. The laughter around the dinner table. The little details that made the day feel unmistakably yours.
Those are the moments I want to help you create.
