Hi, I'm Kate, the owner and face of  "A Touch of Whimsi". I'm a  licensed, insured and certified planner and I love what I do! My wonderful husband, Charles & I, are blessed to own ATOW,  and he often accompanies me. He brings with him, many years in the management field. 

I started planning in 2008, when my daughter Sarah was born. It started with her parties, and I fell in love with the whole process. I had friends and family start asking me to assist with or plan their parties and events, and in that process, "A Touch of Whimsi" was born!

My husband and I planned a small renewal in 2021 with 40 family members and friends. It was a great reminder , that big or small, simple or elegant, it's life's special moments that linger. 

We specialize in planning, coordination, design and a day inspired by you! What makes me different, is that it's my passion for weddings that drives me, I am a master planner, and have an amazing eye for the little details. I also have an amazing team that are trained by me, which include my wonderful team of assistants and  Margaret,  my silk designer.

Everyone deserves to have their dream wedding become a reality and it should be a YOU-inspired day!

We also love thinking outside the box so we love themed weddings.

 We are proud to serve the LGBTQ+ community and we are also happy to offer a military discount. (bride/groom must be military or veteran)
